risk perception & assessment in design
a discussion network
(formerly an e.p.s.r.c. network)

• this is a network that brings together people interested in human risk perception and people interested in technical risk assessment
• the aim is to develop our thinking about problems that involve both disciplines jointly - for example problems to do with risk distribution, risk compensation and risk migration
• it is a continuation of a network that was funded by EPSRC from November 2003 to November 2006
• we run 3 meetings a year on specific themes and our next meeting will be in spring 2007
• we're editing a special issue of Risk Management in 2008
